I see. I forgot over time whether or not the bag was original. I will be posting another video of this machine taken apart. In the video I mention the bag and how I wasn’t sure if it was original. Unfortunately I am unable to edit my video at this point so please disregard that section

Hmmm… your motor …
Hmmm… your motor could use a bit of tough repairmanship.
As I said before, the original bag (with a red plastic bag guard) for this unit was all grey, and speckled, with a large 1953 Kirby logo (w/o the connecting stripes as seen on the 513-515 version of the bag; which is red with white outlines), which was also the original bag for some 518s, the 519, and the 560.

I normally use the …
I normally use the Mothers brand aluminum polish and a buffing wheel for my power drill. I also have a polishing wheel for my Dremel which is good for the harder to reach spots.
Now as for the 561, there is so much oxidation on it that I may need to try using some steel wool.
