No, but it does a respectable job for a cleaner of it’s size.

Would you say this …
Would you say this vacuum picks up the most dirt, out of any other vacuum you ever tried?

At 120aw, I imagine performance with a Turbohead wouldn’t be very strong - I can’t find one on Dyson’s site which is compatible with this model. You can get an extention hose, however. And this model is small enough to perch on a step further up, or light enough for a person of average strength to hold it while they do the stairs!
As for the cord coming out so low, I always hold the cord in my free hand when vacuuming with any cleaner - force of habit!

Looks easy to …
Looks easy to handle on the floor but I would dread doing 12 steps with that tiny little brush…really, it should have a power brush, a longer hose, and I think the extension coming out that low forces the user to have to hold it all the time or it’d be sucked up…no?

The DC24 is cute, but the DC18 is ultimately a better and more versatile cleaner, in my opinion.

Does anyone know if there are any refurbished Dyson DC24’s and where I could buy one?

I would love to have one of these but they are $400 US dollars. I have a Dyson DC18 which I love, but still want one of these.

The 5-year …
The 5-year guarantee means it’s completely covered in event of a breakdown. We don’t have Riccar in England. And I don’t have allergies.

Get ready for the …
Get ready for the repair bills. Just another dixie cup vac. Look at what you have to empty allergy suffers. Sebo X4, Riccar, and Miele S7 are your best uprights.

Well, you pay £2000 for a new one, I got my G5 for £57 and an Electrolux Petlover (rubbish picked, repaired and traded in for £18), my Tradition for £30, and all my other Kirbys for free…
March 4th, 2009 at 9:00 am
Kirbys are …
Kirbys are excellent cleaners…however, I find them a bit big and heavy to be practical as regular cleaners…and £2000 is too much for an occasional cleaner!

The question I’d like to know is, how much dirt DIDN’T it pick up?
I’d rather use a Kirby…

It’s not really …
It’s not really designed for cleaning metal and plastic off the floor…it’s a compact domestic cleaner, not a shop-vac…I wouldn’t recommend it for this purpose.

It does pick up as …
It does pick up as much as a full-size vacuum…but note they don’t specify WHICH full-size vacuum! In performance terms, a DC07 or DC14 would be far better, I’m sure.
