Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know I can buy a new, high tech(and plastic, foreign made piece of crap)vacuum. However, my Dad worked for Hoover for 40 years and built THIS one over 15 years ago. I've been able to maintain and repair it fine so far, but it's been having trouble with suction. I think the composite material of the fan blades is worn down.
L&L: The newer Hoovers are foriegn-made JUNK, just like everything else. Hoover doesn't even make Hoovers anymore. The name was sold to a holding company. I was in Ohio last week, and both the original factory and the plant built in the '70's are sitting idle.

HESCO inc. sells vac parts they might also be able to supply a repair manual…they do sell lots of hoover parts
